Looking good 'is more important than finding love in 2010'

A new study has revealed that more women in the UK aim to look good in 2010 than hope to find love or get a promotion at work.
Some 48 per cent of the respondents to a survey carried out by goodsurgeonguide.co.uk said their New Year's resolution was to improve their appearance, while only 19 per cent said they were mostly interested in finding a man.
Of the women who wanted to look better, 17 per cent said they simply aim to make more of an effort on a day-to-day basis and 32 per cent said they plan to go on a diet.
Christiana Clogg, spokesperson for the company, said: "I suppose … success comes with confidence and if more women feel good about themselves they will ultimately be happier and attract love and success at work."
