Aveda Shampure Shampoo is a gentle, pure and conditioning shampoo that cleanses and fortifies any type of hair. So pure with technology, so superior, that it could simply not just be called 'shampoo'.

Shampure Shampoo infuses one of Aveda’s original aromas; a calming mix of 25 pure flower and plant essences. Its soothing aroma of uplifting Caribbean therapy flower water with orange extracts eases tension and promotes relaxation, whilst its nourishing properties care for your skin and scalp.

Directions of use:

Massage Aveda Shampure Shampoo onto your wet hair.
Lather.
Rinse thoroughly.
Follow with Shampure Conditioner.

Good hair days here we come!!

I have a severely sensitive scalp,and this is the only product that will bring it back to normal,use it with the matching conditioner and the fragrance is wonderful

Smells great, makes my hair look great, never ever irritates my scalp (I'm a very sensitive bunny!), don't need to use much so great value for money, and always suits my hair whether it's normal or dry. :o)

I go to an Aveda salon to get my hair done and they recommended Shampure as I have really fine hair and its a very natural shampoo. I love the smell and its perfect as an everyday shampoo - I also use the conditioner too, which is about the only one that doesn't weigh my hair down - would highly recommend....

Not on my head !

I know this is a popular shampoo but it didn't work out for me. Yes, it smells great but it did irritate my scalp and left my thick, wavy, coarse hair in an extremely dry condition. This one ended up in my children's bathroom, along with my other 'cast off' hair products.

Shampure heaven

I have converted my family of 4 to just one shampoo with this product. It smells lovely and my daughter actually enjoys having her long fine hair washed. Ah bliss!

Not for thick course hair

This is a beautiful shampoo but I didn't find it suitable for my long thick course frizz prone hair - sap moss & curessence products work best for my hair type - after switching to recommended Alterna Hemp seed - I'm moving back to Aveda as it's the best there is.

This has a lovely fresh smell great for the kids but not my dry damaged hair I will stick to sap moss

Not for coloured hair!

I fell in love with the curressence range for my coloured hair so I figured that the shampure would be equally satisfactory-and a little bit cheaper! Unfortunately, I found that it left my hair feeling really dry, stripped and more prone to tangling. Back to curressence for me-unless anyone out there can recommend something new to try!!!!

forever hunting good shampoo!

My hair loves it!

I have used Shampure for years now and recently ran out so, being a fan of Molton Brown's shower gels, I tried their shampoo. I now find my hair needs washed every day or it begins to feel dirty, whereas with Shampure I could leave it for maybe 3 days and it would still feel clean. Fewer tangles with Shampure too, and my hair just feels healthier using it.

Yuck!!

Left a residue after washing and teamed with the conditioner, was really heavy!! Left my hair feeling non too soft and needed washing the next day!! Not worth it!!

Great for sensitive scalps

I have a very sensitive scalp and this is the only shampoo that does not irritate it. Does not weigh down my fine hair either - I wouldn't use anything else!

Not bad but still not the best!!

I do quite like this shampoo and am using at the moment but there are a few downsides. I don't like the way it doesn't lather properly. Washing your hair with this shampoo is hard work. I was told not to use too much as it's concentrated but it doesn't lather as much as other brands. I have also noticed my scalp has become itchy since using it aswell. Anyway on the plus side.......so many people have commented on the condition of my hair even though I haven't had it cut for five months. It makes your hair unbelievably shiny. My hair looks healthier and thicker.

Don't be a dumb blonde!

This stuff is the biz! leaves my stressed highlighted hair feeling soft and shiny and smelling wonderful. Great to use as an everyday conditioner or if you have a bit of time a hair masque. I love it!

Fantastic shampoo

Have been using Aveda products for the past few years. Shampure makes my fine straight hair, thicker, shiney, more managable and feel like hair should, full of movement and body. The smell is fantastic too, well worth the money.

I support the 2006 In Style award. This is a lovely smelling shampoo which cleans your hair with the tinniest of blobs. Hair is clean and shiny plus being Aveda is has totally yummy ingredients with no nasties.

This is the best - ever!!!

The first time I tried this shampoo I thought it smelled too 'herby' for me. The second time I thought it was okay. The third time - BOY!!! I LOVE THIS SHAMPOO!!! and I've never changed my mind. I have expanded my Aveda shampoo range to include some others more suitable to my changing hair condition but have never ever left Aveda, nor would I. My supremely sensitive scalp just loves the whole range and my hair just behaves beautifully. Hairdressers ask me which range I use (silly really as I insist on taking my own shampoo to the hairdressers with me) and even they are impressed with the condition that Aveda products maintains on my hair. There is no build up, no need to detox,no need to even think about it. Just use it and love it. Go on, you know you wanna!!

Disappointing

My hair feels coarse and dry after continued use. Doesn't lather well so it's easy to use too much.

Not so special

Sorry to disagree with everyone else. I bought this on the strength of the brilliant reviews and found my hair to be very dry, coarse and un-manageable. I have long straight hair in very good condition but I knew as soon as I'd washed the conditioner off that the result wasn't good. People at work asked if I had used too much hairspray the next day as my hair looked really out of condition. I only lasted 2 washes and I've had to give the rest away to someone else in the hope they get better results. Still looking for a good one......

Not for me

I loved the sound of this and after reading most of the reviews thought it would be great, so went ahead and bought the 1 litre bottle. Left my hair VERY brittle and dry. Used with the Shampure conditioner with no luck. Felt heavy and almost greasy. Wouldnt recommend it. Went back to Kerastase..

Great for Sensitive Scalps

I love the fragrance and gentleness of this shampoo. It doesn't irritate my sensitive scalp at all, and leaves my hair with a really clean feeling and nice smell. Unfortunately, it doesn't get rid of my flakiness, but at least it doesn't make it any worse.

What a smell!!!

If you want to smell like a man who wears Brut then this is the shampoo for you! Didn't like it at all left my hair fluffy and unmanagable and worst of all the smell, had to re-wash my hair after using it.

Not good for people with fine hair

I bought this shampoo after reading all the good reviews and I am really disappointed. Like another reviewer said, it doesn't lather well, and this does mean you can easily overdo it when applying. I don't like the smell, it's very herby, and my fine and usually slightly greasy hair is now greasy and dirty looking at the roots and dry and fly away at the ends which isn't a good look at all. Very unhappy and doubt I'll be trying Aveda again.

Fabulous

I love this. Really nice, fragrant and gentle. Made my hair super soft. Foams fantastically. Great for normal hair.

Greasy Residue

Shampure did not clean my hair at all. It left a greasy residue on my hair, as though I had used too much product, which meant that I had to wash my hair again. I've tried using it again, thinking that perhaps I didn't rinse my hair properly, but I still get a horrible, greasy, thick feeling to my hair, which is not at all nice and smells pretty awful too.

Great for many, not for me

This is great as a neutral shampoo - it cleanses, nothing more, nothing less. I have to follow up with other products to get my hair to behave perfectly. Considering my problematic hair and my impatience, I will choose a shampoo that does more for my hair next time.
