Directions of use:
- ALWAYS wear gloves
- Use small amounts and apply to clean skin
- Lightly glaze over hands and feet. Bend elbows and knees when applying.
- The Self Tanning lotion can be used on your face
- Allow to dry before going to bed
- The following morning, a small amount of the colour will wash away but your tan will remain
- Apply several nights in a row to achieve your desired tan
Follow the 3 Step process for a fantastic looking tan:
- Step 1 - Exfoliate
While bathing or showering, apply the Body Polish and pay particular attention to your knees, elbows, ankles and feet.
- Step 2 - Tan
Using the enclosed gloves, apply Fake Bake Self Tanning Lotion over the entire face and body lightly glazing over the elbows and knees. Allow approx. 20 mins for the product to dry before dressing.
- Step 3 - Moisturise
Shake the Skin Smoothie well and mist over your entire body. Use daily, after showering. (Not recommended for use on the face)

this is the best one I've used. I only don't like the smell.
Dissapointed
When I ordered this Fake Bake product, it didn't look the same as the one on the website, but I hope it's the same. It gives a really good colour, I love it. BUT, it's a big but here. It goes off! Especially in the face. One shower, and it's almost all off.
Best Fake Tan
I love Fake Bake original. I've tried a few and the others leave me a bit orange but this is a lovely natural tan. People always ask where I've been on holiday when I use it. The colour guild is brill and I've only ever had patchy legs once where I put clothes on too soon after but I just used an everyday tanning lotion and it evened out. Just read the tips from below and whilst I agree with most of it I apply the fake tan 2 or 3 nights in a row for a build up rather than the same night. Also its best to start from the feet up otherwise you get creases on your arms and tummy!

I love this product, I, like many others have tried a lot of fake tan (being pale and fair haired) but by far this is the best! My first Fake Bake product was "Airbrush Instant Self Tan" which I really liked although down sides are the spray nozzle kept getting clogged and having to wipe it with a tissue, and because it's a spray it gets everywhere, my bathroom floor looked orange! I thought I couldn't use a lotion fake tan being pale but decided to give this a go. I brought a mitt to go with it and put it on as soon as I got it. At first it seemed quite dark but after leaving it on over night the darkness went and left a nice golden tan, if u want a darker tan you can apply one coat then add another after the first has dried or fake tan for 3 days in a row (at night is best).

I have used a number of fake tans over the years, and this has to be the best! I've also been for a number of professional spray tans, which cost 25quid a time, and this is much better, I've got quite dark skin, so some fake tans don't come out on me at all,but this igives me a lovely glow, which doesn' look as if I've been tangoed.I'd give it 10/10
Great Tan After Just One Application
If you want a deep tan that develops after one application Fake Bake is for you! Xen Tan is great too and I use it in the winter months as it is lighter than Fake Bake although you can build it up but it takes 3 applications to get it as dark as Fake Bake.Yes it smells, but you find me a fake tan that doesn't. And it will go patchy after a few days if you don't reapply but this is all part of most tans "coming off" process and it only does it in really random places, like where you sweat more or where your clothes rub, not all over.Application is easy peasy. I use gloves and apply it in small circular motions until the colour guide shows it has blended. An up and down motion will give you streaks. Don't forget to prep properly though. If you don't regularly exfoliate and moisturise then I'd recommend that you give your skin some extra TLC for a week before you use any fake tan to ensure it's in tip top condition.It leaves a lot of the colour guide on your bed sheets but it washes out so don't panic!
Things I'd save in a fire...
If I as any paler I'd be blue, so fake tan is up there with mascara and frizz ease,(I'm no natural beauty). I have totally converted from St Tropez after trying this. Its easy to apply, lasts well and fades easily without going patchy. Top tip- quick blast with a hair dryer helps it dry quicker. Better tip-don't do this in front of husband/boyfriend/partner/anyone-sort of kills the mystic.

BE CAREFUL THOUGH WHEN APPLYING FAKE BAKE ,USE GLOVES OTHERWISE YOUR HANDS WILL GO DARK AND DIFFICULT TO WASH OFF,BUT HATE WEARING THE GLOVES AS IT LEAVE A RUBBERY SMELL AND MY HUSBNAD HATES IT WHEN IAM IN BED NEXT TO HIM,IT TURN HIM OFF . I HAVE CONVERT TO XEN-TAN NOW AS IT FAB STUFF AND ALSO BEAUTIFUL SMELL AND LOVLEY LOOKING GLOWING TAN, I WILL STILL USE FAKE BAKE FROM TIME TO TIME, IDEAL FOR THE SUMMER MONTHS AS IT PRODUCE RESULTS FASTER , XEN-TAN IN THE WINTER MONTHS YOIU CAN CONTROL HOW LIGHT OR DARK TAN YOU WANT AS IT BUILTS UP OVER 2/3 DAYS. I JUST TURN 40 AND WONT BE SUNBATING IN THE SUN ANYMORE TO AVOID WRINKLES ON MY FACE SO IAM GLAD THAT FAKE TANS IS ALL THE RAGE AND SAFE FROM SKIN CANCER.

I was hooked on Xen Tan...Until i tried this stuff. Had heard from friends it was hard to apply, but as a fake tan pro i found it really easy to apply and blend in, the results are fantastic although im going for my second layer tonight as i like to be quite dark!!! I got the pack with the skin smoothie and the body polish-essentials for a great result. I would recommend this to anyone!
Theres pros & cons to this product!
PROS:Firstly the gloves provided with the product were very useful, with other brands often there are no gloves provided, inc St Tropez. The product also went on very smoothly & blended in well with my fair skin tone. There was no sign of orange skin even when the product fully developed. There were also no steaks with this product.CONS: Although the gloves were useful at first they soon streched & broke after 2 uses. & although the colour was even i found that it did not get much darker after a few applications.Overall i liked the product but would prefer a darker colour. Maybe the Fake Bake extreme is more for me.
Best out there
I don't give out 5 stars very often but this deserves it! Having been disappointed by St Tropez I decided to give this a go and am so glad I did.Application is a bit messy but not as bad as I had been led to expect. Colour guide is very dark, you can't really leave the house with this stuff on, but don't worry the real tan is much nicer. Leave on for about 9 hours ideally, I find this works better the longer you leave it on for.If you're pale the first application is quite light; it's noticeable but not deep. This is ideal if you want a healthier glow but don't want it to be obvious you're slapping fake tan on. If you want a darker tan build it up over 2/3 nights. After this you should only have to reapply 1/2 times a week to maintain it, providing you moisturise and exfoliate every so often.Overall, excellent natural looking tan, streak free. Just don't be scared of it, too many people apply too thin a layer.
Good for body - bad for face
This product gives a real nice dark brown tan on the body, although almost half of it washes away when you rinse of the product... You shouldnt use this on your face though! 1. It increases your every pore and blemishes look like dark moles or something. 2. You look crazy - you cant really meet people while having this on you face. PRO's:+ If you have perfect skin without any dry patches or blemishes it actually is very good.+ You get a natural looking tan without streaks.+ There's no icky smell thats a big plus.CONS:- Hate putting on gloves to apply product... if you dont, handpalms become black and it is very hard to wash off.- It dries a bit slow... even after one hour or so after applying, skin still feels dewy.

I'm on the fake bake bandwagon over st tropez. I used st tropez for years but now i have tried this i would never go back!
BEST OF THE BUNCH
Have tried most fake tans but this one beats even St Tropez for not streaking. Found that being able to see colour straight away helps with the application also great if you forget to apply the night before big night out.
Very good
I thought this product was fantastic. I used St Tropez before this but found Fake Bake to be much better. St Tropez sometimes rubs off on shoes if you sweat or have got strappy shoes on but this product doesnt do that at all. I have no streaks and the colour is very natural. Everyone keeps asking me where I went on holiday! The only thing I did find with this product was that it came off slightly on my bed sheets after I had put it on. This didnt effect the tan on my skin but my sheets didnt look to great - although it does wash off of material. All in all I would recommmend this product to anyone and say it is worth the money!
League of its own!
I was sceptical and wanted this to not be better than St Tropez, but being a product junkie, I had to try it. It gave me the same depth of colour which lasts for ages but the big difference for me was the drying time. The instant colour guide looks good enough to go out in and after I put it on I literally got dressed straight away. At the end of the day I examined my (admittedly black) shirt collar but there was not the slightest mark to be seen. Great if you, like me, are not as organised as those who always remember to apply self tan the night before you need it or if you are sometimes just too tired to face it when all you want to do is crawl into bed!

THIS IS THE BEST STUFF I EVER USED. I TRIED IT ALL BELIEVE ME. THIS STUFF IS AMAZING. THE COLOR IS GREAT. NICE GOLDEN TAN. I AM SO PLEASED WITH THIS STUFF. I WILL DEFINELY ORDER AGAIN. THANKS FOR A FINE PRODUCT.
Best Fake Tan Ever!
This is possibly the best self tan I've ever used - I've tried all of the other brands including St Tropez, Clarins, Estee Lauder etc. and this reallly does the business. No streaks at all - amazing!- however I do recommend the usual exfoliation first and then applying body lotion to problem dry areas before application. Don't be put off by the guide colour of the lotion (gravy brown) as most of this will rinse away in the shower the next morning. I'll definitely be recommending this to all my friends and will be steering clear of the sunbeds this summer.
!AMAZING WOW FACTOR TAN!
Here is a usefull review which you just have to read. I have recently used Fake Bake Tan Lotion for the first time, and it is the best product out there, here i have some tips i would like to share with other Fake Bake customers on how to get the best from your tan. Tricks and TipsAs if Fake Bake isnt raved about enough, it is used by so many celebs who have great tans. The end result is wonderful, no orangeness or orangetone so you never look like youve been tangoed, no streaks and a real dark rich tan without looking `burnt in the oven at Gas Mark 6` Fake Bake can never fail to transform a skin tone. Its so great cos it can enhance a natural olive skin tone or totally transform paleish skin into something rather exotic. Take these excellent self learnt tips of mine on how to get the best out of it:1. On application, always make sure your skin is totally dry, if needed, moisturise a tiny bit, using 10 pence piece amounts, smooth over in a large circular motion, taking time to ensure you rub it in and blend in the product throughly, i personally dont believe it is `streak free` i think every fake tan is streaky but it is up to you to blend in well, if you dont blend in or `miss a bit` you will have some visible streaks the next day after you have rinsed off your colour guide. Ever so lightly glaze over your feet in tiny circular motion and really rub it in the sides and a bit on the soles cos your feet are where the real tell tale signs can lie that youve got a fake tan.2. HOW DARK WOULD YOU GO? Personally i like being very very dark, but you can only go so far until it will look `fake and unnatural` any tan can easily look like this so its up to you to make sure it doesnt! I apply at least 2 layers on a go but for the darkest tan ever i would suggest 4 layers. Start with your face, very lightly anmd takecare to ensure you pay special attention to around the eyes cos you dont want pale patches, another obvious tell tale sign, you wanna convince everyone you know that youre a natural tanned golden babe! Work your way down to your feet, perhaps get someone to do your back for you, for the last bit. Then if you want a second laeyrs or more, repeat again and so on. If you are going to do it this way take at least 5-10 mins to apply a layer, but the best way is to do it section by section ( for e.g 4 layers on face, then 4 layers on neck so on) Dont be slow, chop chop cos it dries pretty fast does this stuff! 3. Rinsing off- I use a shower head to rinse off with really warm water until the water runs clear, i dont use a flannel cos it may take off all the hard work i was putting in the night before! When your skin is wet blast your entire body with Skin Smoothie then bot with a soft towel, this will lock the tan into your skin bumping up the tans life.4. LASTING FACTOR- The tan will last for about 7 days only if you follow this guide precisely and take time to ensure product is well blended in.5. TAN MAINTENACE- Use choco mousse to maintain it, the morning after you put the lotion on, before you dress apply the mousse, this dresses the base tan up and adds another coat of armour! It also makes it last for at least 4 days longer! Tried and tested! You can only beleive my review if you try and test exactly what ive done, it will not work otherwise!6. TAN BUILD UP- For the first 3 nights following after the first night i applied it i applied it for 4 nights in a row then on the 4th day of application, i applied the mousse to seal the tan, this 4 day application gives your skin enough time to absorb the product and gradually building up the tan to your desired shade works best, this is perfect for you if you want your tan extremely dark like me, then after the first week i apply the lotion once a week beofre bed then the mousse the morning after, follow this and youll have such an amazing tan youll look like youve been on a tropical island for weeks! This stuff is wicked
Lasts for days and doesnt look orange. You do look a bit wierd after applying it but when you wash it away the next day the results are brilliant. Definately a must have.
IT'S GREAT!
This product is not dissimilar to St Tropez, although i find it easier to apply and a tub of this lasts longer, however please don't over apply or it goes bitty on your skin, i also find that the colour does not come out on your tum or neck as well as your legs but you can rectify this by re-applying once per day for three days depending on required colour but over all it's a good product!

Tip on applying!
I've used numerous fake tans (St Tropez, etc) and I would definitely say fake bake is the best. When I first got it, I found the application VERY difficult with gloves on, it's a thick consistency and dries quickly. It also sticks to ANY hairs! I was ready for giving up when i remembed that when I used St Tropex mousse, I used a Soltan fake tan mitt. Thought I'd give it a go and I'm so glad I did!! It blends the tan in sooooo much quicker and means its east to apply to hands as well! Soltan mitts will be in most self tan sections and only cost around £3. Do not get the St Tropez mitt, it's not the same thing! It got the point where I dreaded putting fake bake on but I'm glad I tried this, it takes half the time! This tan lasts around 7 days for me, which is great as even St Tropez fades quickly for me. I'm pale and it gives me a lovely golden brown colour, but I would definitely go with more than one layer! It's also good to put it on before your bed at night to ensure the darkest tan (also read somewhere that the hormones you release in your sleep help the tan to develop quicker! - sounds silly but I went for a sleep for a few hours in the afternoon one day and what a difference it made!) Anyway hope this review has helped!
Nattural looking and streak free!
I used Fake Bake for the first time this weekend. Having been a devotee of Lancome and San Tropez products, I was interested to see if Fake Bake would live up to its hype. Well I wasnt dissapointed. After exfoiliation I applied to dark brown cream, and awoke the next day with a beautiful NATURAL looking tan. No tell tale streaks or mistakes on my hands and feet.I have found with S.T that once you guide is washed off there is very little tan left, but fake bake gave me a lovely colour after one application. I would recommend Fake Bake to tanning novices and experts alike.
the best a girl can get!!
how can anyone slate this product it must have been created by god himself, it never streaks or goes orange just leaves you with a beautiful golden tan everytime. my best tip is to mix it with moisturiser before applying to face or over knees and elbows etc.Im totally hooked!!
try it on a small patch first
I tried this product a few months ago and I got a rash. I don't have sensitive skin and tried all sorts of products. Be a bit careful and try it first.
